Anti-Pollution Ingredient

Nowadays, air pollution is one of the global concerns affecting mainly urban areas which has a negative impact on the human body including the skin. In our study, we applied cigarette smoke as a representative model of air pollution onto the skin explants and evaluated its effect on the skin lipids, proteins and DNA using various techniques. This model was used to evaluate the ability of selected cosmetic ingredients with various expected mechanisms of action to reduce this type of damage. As a result, we developed a new ingredient by combining the best candidates.
