We are delighted to share Cargill Beauty’s Actigum™ range of Sclerotium gums, the biopolymers to thicken, suspend and stabilise formulations whilst providing an excellent sensorial effect.
Sclerotium gum is produced by aerobic sugar fermentation with the fungi Sclerotium rolfsii. Thanks to its unique triple helix structure, scleroglucan provides superior thickening capacity and greater stability, making it the ideal nature-derived thickener and stabiliser for formulations with a smooth and soft texture.
Formulating with Actigum™ offers a premium experience to consumers and allows for a broad palette of textures to be created, from sprayable fluids to creams, gels and serums.
Key points of Actigum™:
- Suspending and stabilising properties.
- Smooth, fresh and lightweight feel.
- Sourced from renewable European, non-GMO feedstock source.
- COSMOS approved.
- Broad compatibility and highly stable.
- Translucent to transparent in colour.
- Stable at pH 3 – 12.
