Method of Manufacture:
Into the premix vessel add:
Aqua
Chlorphenesin: Mix at 600 RPM for 10 minutes
Stop Mixing
Into the main vessel add:
Carbomer: Leave to hydrate for 10 minutes
After 10 minutes switch on the homogeniser
Homogenise for 10 minutes at 1500 RPM
Into the main vessel add:
Propylene glycol: Commence heating the main vessel to 75C
Xanthan Gum: Homogenise for a further 5 minutes
Simulgel NS: Increase the homogeniser speed to 2500 RPM
Homogenise for 10 minutes
Into the premix vessel add:
- Phenoxyethanol
- Apricot Kernel Oil Refined
- Cegesoft PS 6
- Dimethicone (100cs)
- Cegesoft SBE
Heat the premix vessel to 75C
When both vessels are at 75-80C, add the Wakapamp into the premix vessel
When both vessels are at 75-80C, add the premix vessel into the main vessel
Homogenise for 10 minutes at 2500 RPM
After 10 minutes, into the main vessel, add:
Sepiplus 400: Homogenise for a further 10 minutes at 2500 RPM.
After 10 minutes, into the main vessel, add:
Sodium Hydroxide: Homogenise for a further 10 minutes at 2500 RPM
After 10 minutes, stop the homogeniser and commence cooling to 23C
Mix at a medium speed, adjust the mixer speed as it cools to ensure adequate turnover, avoiding aeration
When the bulk is 40C or below, into the main vessel add:
Perfume: Mix until dispersed
D&C Red 33 1% solution: Mix until dispersed
FD&C Yellow 5 1% solution: Mix until dispersed
Timiron Splendid Gold: Mix until dispersed
Mix for a further 20 minutes
When the bulk is 23C, check the product specifications.
